Borlotti Beans of Carnia

This vegetable is special not only for the role it has in the alimentary habits of the area, but also in the growing methods that have allowed to get, today like in the past, high quality products. Oval or almost round, variegated or striped in red or violet, the Borlotto of Carnia is a bean that is picked up when completely dry and its skin shells become almost all yellow. Shelled by hand is preserved in jute sacks in dry places. Is excellent to prepare tasty delicious soups.
